Evan Thomson began his golf in Otautau, and in later years he was a member at Harewood. He is especially interested in golf memorabilia, and makes replica clubs from the late eighteenth century, now at Kaiapoi Golf Club he is fully involved with the collating the first one hundred years of Kaiapoi Golf Club.
