The overall result for this challenge was Kaiapoi 32.9 to Amberley 30.4.

INTERCLUB 08: We are the Champions - Two years in a row.

What started in early February and finished on a cold Sunday in June, after seven rounds of tough golf , our team of Diane Brown, Jill Cassisy, Amanda Clancy, Lorraine Badger, Ailex Barnett, Kate Fogarty, Trish Taylor, Diane Wood & Sharon Worrall, finally can be named the Weekend Interclub Champions. The team who played in the Finals - Amanda, Jill, Trish and Di Brown were all very nervous teeing off at No 1 at Christchurch Golf Club against other finalists Avondale, but after nine holes our girls were up in every match, so we were starting to get more confident. The final result was a comprehensive 3 & 1/2 to 1/2 win to Kaiapoi, a great team effort by all the players and caddies. Well done.

The 18 hole team also played in the finals of the Interclub, but were unsuccessful this year against their old foes Clearwater. Well done to all the teams. The final results can be found in the Canterbury website.
